Tips to get your morning started

Hello!

Some of us have no problem with getting out of bed. Others find it more difficult. Are you the one who always snooze for 20 minutes? Do you set 3 alarms to make sure you’ll wake up? Then these tips might be helpful!

Try not to snooze, but jump out of bed and get moving! You’ll be awake in seconds, and also giving your metabolism a boost.

Drink water. Make sure you have a big bottle filled up with water next to your bed, and make this the first thing you do when you open your eyes. Your body can use the hydration.

Take a cold shower. Just what suits you,if you really can’t stand the cold then find a way between your normal temperature and the cold. If you do this at first, you’ll give your body a shock. I assure you, this one works.

Buy a alarm with a radio option and put it at the end of your bed. If you wake up with a loud of hard sound (voice in my case; I always woke up when they were telling the news) you’ll be annoyed. But because it’s at the end of your bed, you need to get out to stop it. And no; DON’T go back!

I hope you can find a tip that is useful  for you. Try to do it on a day to day base; if you give up after once it will probably not help you. Good luck with trying!

BBG week 3 review

Hello!

I’m currently in week 3, just finished my resistance training. And how do I feel? Exhausted, but satisfied. I’m getting used to Kayla’s workout ritm, and I started to enjoy her workouts. It feels good when you can feel it burning.
I found out that I hate arms&abs. Abs are ok, but arms.. Mine are like rubber after the workout. I’m not seeing results yet, but I might be a bit to keen on that. I really want to be toned and muscular!

BBG week 1 review

Hey everyone!

I just finished my first week of the BBG! I found it really hard to be honest. The cardio days were easy, but the resistence days were hard.
I’m not just to that kind of training.
But damn it felt so good! I know it’s my imagination but it feels like I already gained muscles.
That’s why I’m doing it; I want a muscular body. I want to feel proud.
I don’t follow Kayla’s HELP nutrition guide, is there someone who does?
I found it expensive, and I already eat HCLF.

I’m gonna try to keep pn to the BBG, untill I go to Thailand. That is in less than 11 weeks..

RT4 and yoga

Hey everyone!

How’s life? At the moment, my life is great. 🙂
I need to go to work in half an hour, and I’m excited for it. I like my new job.
And what I also like is my inner calmness today.
I feel suprisingly calm, relaxed and ‘one’ with my inner me.
I think that’s because I practice yoga more.
I go to class every week, and sometimes even more, ’cause I like it so much.

And I try to eat so that I avoid pain. And I don’t eat animal products, so that makes me happy to.
When you are in balance with yourself, everything seems to work.
Everything goes the way you want it, and if it doesn’t, well then it doesn’t.
I try to avoid stress, and I think I manage well.
WHat do you do to avoid stress?

Roasted Stuffed Butternut

This vegetarian meal is one of the best I have ever tasted, I usually still crave meat after eating a veggie meal but this one hit the spot. The beautiful flavours from the sun-dried tomatoes go so well with the ricotta and balsamic crema. This dish does take some time  to cook, as butternut takes for ever to roast, but the results are SO worth it.


INGREDIENTS

1 medium-large butternut squash
Olive oil
1 packett baby spinach leaves
7 sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
7 calamata olives, pitted and chopped
1/2 red onion, chopped
2 red chillies, chopped
3 garlic cloves, crushed
100 g ricotta
Sea salt & black pepper
1/2 tsp sunflower seeds, roasted
1/2 tsp pumpkin seed, roasted
1/2 tsp sesame seeds, roasted
Balsamic crema
Fresh basil for garnish


METHOD
Serves 2
Preparation 40 minutes
Cooking time 15 minutes


Preheat the oven to 240°C.

Fruit on the go

Gooodmorning!
Today is gonna be a long but nice day. It’s still warm outside, I’m wearing my new trousers and I’m going to the movies tonight (with my best friend). Sounds like a good day. But like I said, it’s gonna be a long day. I still find it kind of hard toeat enough on days like this. I tend to eat less, and as a result I get cravings. I try to eat as many as I should (around 2000 kcal of fruit, 500 of dinner) but sometimes I fail to get it all in. I’m not planning on having cravings today, so I made myself food for school. I made broccoli, a tomato salad and I have fruit. I also have rice crackers in my locker. I hope that it’s enough for me. I find it ard to eat on the go, or to plan my meals. Bit time has learned that I really need to do it. I need to take time for myself, and think about why I do it. RT4 is a lifestyle that makes my feel better, feel loved and to hopefully learn to love myself. I think today will be fine, I took care of lunch/snack and I have a lot of nice things ahead. I have drama classes today, and I’m really looking forward to it. Let’s make something of today!

RT4 Starting fresh, day 1&2

Heey!
Like I told you yesterday, I’m starting over! Just because I had some difficulties and I couldn’take the time to really read me into this lifestyle. That’s why I decided to start over, fresh, and full of energy.
I actuall started yesterday but I didn’t had time to post and my pictures wouldn’t open. Very frustrating. But it all doesn’t matter anymore, I just log now.
Yesterday was hard, went to the cinema.It was really nice but hard to resist the popcorn. I wonder, if you make them yourself, if they are RT4-proof.
I had a school day today and I had artclass. Theater. I really like it. My teacher is great, and I get cool feedback from the other students. Yesterday I went for a bikeride, and today I walked for 1,5 hour. SO I did my excercise.

  • Breakfast: bananasmoothie
  • Snack:cucumber and 3 banana’s
  • Lunch: mandarines and 2 apples, some veggies
  • Snack: large salad, juice and dried fruit (picture above)
  • Dinner: 4 mandarines and 2 apples
  • 2 Dinner: broccoli and sugar snaps with mushrooms
  • Snack: crackers

RT4 day 2

  • Breakfast: 2 banana’s
  • Snack: 1 sandwich with jam
  • Lunch: 3 mandarines, 2 apples, veggies (baby tomatoes, carrots, cucumber)
  • Snack: large salad with tomatoes and home made dressing
  • Dinner: soup
  • 2 Dinner: pumpkin and 0.5 zuchinni
  • Snack: small soup, 4 winegums

 
Tomorrow is going to be a hard day, I need to visit the hospital. I need to receive treatment. But my boyfriend is joining me, luckily..

RT4 day 12&13

Heeee people!
How are you doing? 🙂 I’m fine, enjoying the weather outhere in Amsterdam. Yesterday was a banana day for me, I only ate banana’s and some blackberries. We picked blackberries in the woods, they taste so sweet or sour. I think I’m gonna make my own jam out of them. RT4 is great, I think it makes my feel better. My disease is getting worse though, I need to go to the hospital this wednesday. They give me some medicin, equal to a chemotreatment. I’m always feeling afterwarts, but still need to receive it. Otherwise I will be much sicker then I am already now. I’m not looking forward to it. Thankfully my boyfriend is coming with me. Hopefully RT4 will help me feel better, I was still eating ‘normal’ the last time I received treatment. Let’s look at my food now.

Breakfast: 1 mango, 2 banana’s
Snack: banana smoothie
Lunch: soup
Snack: huge pea salad
Dinner: bread with veggies
Snack: none

RT4 day 8

Hello!

let’s tell you about my day. It was okay, I regret one thing I ate, but I was so hungry and hadn’t pack enough food for work. My day was relaxed, I went out for luch with my mum and went to our toko to buy sushileaves (form seaweed :D). The sun was shining, and we want for a bikeride after our lunches. Working was okay, but I forgot to pack dinner so I was very hungry and I ate white bread with seeds on top.

Breakfast: 3 banana’s
Snack: none
Lunch: chinese (vegan) soup
Snack: 3 banana’s and 2 ricecrackers
Dinner: 1 white bread with seeds
Snack: 2 banana’s
