Last week I was hungry all day. I snacked on fruit but it wasn’t satisfying me. I wanted something crunchy, something nice. So I made kale chips, for the first time in my life.
It was so easy and so tasty, that I want to give you all the recipe for this amazing snack!
– kale leafs
– paprika powder
– oil (optional, I didn’t use it)
Preheat your oven on 200°. Pick a tray and put some paper on it.
Cut the kale into eat able pieces.
Season them with herbs, you can also use garlic powder or basil.
Put it all in the oven for about 8 minutes, check if they are crispy. Of they aren’t then put them back for 4 more minutes.
It’s ‘s easy and ready under 15 minutes. I love to bring them to the cinema, or serve them when I have friends over. It’s my favourite new snack.
I told you about my BBG experiment. Well, I’m now on day 3. And let me tell you this; IT IS HEAVY.
Kayla really makes you sweat. But I believe that is a good thing, right?
You have cardio days and resistance training days, but thank God not on the same day.
They’re swopping, so you have time to recover.
I really needed that, I had amazing pain in my musles the second day..
It did feel like I really took it to the extreme, I felt I did something.
That felt so good.
The diet part is also really easy to follow.
You can have snacks, and normal rice portions, or sometimes even more.
I had to cut my banana intake, I ate a lot of bananas. And I still eat more banana’s then Kayla says you can have, but I just like them so much.
And it’s still fruit, so I don’t think it’s such a bad thing.
I have a busy work day tomorrow, so I hope I can still follow the programm..
I drink my lemonwater every day, but what about you?! Lemon water has some amazing health benefits and it tastes amazing to!
But why should you drink it everyday?
1. Because the lemon in the water can help your digestion to get moving. If you have problems to digest, the lemonwater may do the trick. The minerals and vitamins can help your upset stomach. That’s why people also call it “detoxwater”.
2. Because it is way better then drinking soda. It helped me to stop my dietcoke addiction. Lemon water is way tastier.
3. It can help you lose weight. The pectine fibres in the lemon give you a full feeling. And the water helps too, you might think you’re hungry, but you’re possibly only dehydrated. So drink your lemonwater before you grab a snack!
4. The vitamine C in the lemons can help your immune system. The ascorbic acid in the lemons helps your body to fight inflammations. It also helps your body to balance out your iron levels. And that all simply by drinking lemonwater..
5. Lemon helps you to get a nice smelling breath.It combats the bacteria growing in your mouth. So if you drink it in the morning, you’ll have a fresh breath.
You get all of the above simply by drinking the lemonwater!
Why even doubt it? I make a big glass before I go to bed, and it’s the first thing I do in the morning. That way it’s easy to drink enough water troughout the day, and you won’t forget to drink it.

I made a berrylicious smoothie today. It was a lot, but really good!
I needed a big smoothie; there was so much wind today, the wind almost blew me of my bike.
But it was a good workout. 😉
For dinner I made these peppers;
– 4 pointed peppers
– spring onions
Cut the peppers in half. Pre-heat the oven at 170 degrees.
Cut the mushrooms,tofu and onions and sauteed the onions,tofu and mushrooms. Bake the spinach for 2 minutes.
Fill the paprika’s up with the onions,tofu,spinach and mushrooms.
Put them in the oven for 24 minutes.
Put them out, and enjoy!
I found it very delicious! I love my peppers.
Today was a busy day. I got myself a new cellphone, so I’m really happy now. Took some time to install everything, but he looks great. I had to do tons of other stuff, so cooking was not something I could spent my time on. So I just made this very easy but delicious couscous. I put some things together and it turned out fine!
That’s why I wanted to share it with you guys. 🙂
I came up with the idea because I had a lack of time to make something better. I found some veggies in de fridge, and thought about making a salad. Then I remembered the couscous my mum recently bought. I finished it in 5/10 minutes, luckily, ’cause I had a movienight planned with my dad and we already bought or cinematickets. There I sat, watching “Dying of the Light” with my couscous.
– 85 gram couscous
– around 1 cucumber
– red bell peper
– 1/2 lemon
– olive oil
– some nuts (I didn’t put a lot in it, I think make 6 nuts in total)
Cook some water, and add some salt and oil. When your water is boiling, turn the water off and put the couscous in.
Let them soak for about 3 minutes.
Then turn the gas on, and cook for another 3 minutes, then set it apart to cool down.
Take the skin of the cucumber and cut it together with the pepper and nuts.
Mix it with the couscous, put lemon over it and some mint on top.
Bon appetite! 😉
Remember my post about my cold feet yesterday? I should have known, haha. I was cold all day yesterday and today, and I didn’t knew why.
Untill 3 o’clock. I felt horrible, I had stomachpain and threw up.
I’m feeling a bit sick now.
I know that a lot of people have the flu, which is strange ’cause it’s already spring and almost april! Shouldn’t that be over now?
I also always thought that all of the RT4/vegan people had an amazing immune system, but clearly not, haha.
Thank God I have the best mum, ’cause she made me this amazing soup. This is currently my state of mind:
I call it; ‘Bored and feeling like crap’. Hooray.
A delicious vegan soup, with a lot of veggies! She really put everything in it. If this isn’t gonna make me better, what will?
At least I’m getting all my vitamins in. 🙂

Uch, it’s march and here in Holland it’s still cold. And I don’t like that. Particularly now that I’m vegan.
Spring has just began, ans I hoped that with the spring the sun wouls come.
But nope, the sun decided to stay on the other side of the world.
Too bad for me, and my feet.
I have the coldest feet you could ever think of.
Are there more people with cold bodyparts?
Since I began my vegan life, I started to habe cold hands and feet. Before that they were cold every now and then. Nothing strange.
I sleep with socks every night!
And even then, they won’t warm up.
I hate cold feet.
I hope that someone recognise this, and might have the solution for warm feet. Thank you!
Today is gonna be a long but nice day. It’s still warm outside, I’m wearing my new trousers and I’m going to the movies tonight (with my best friend). Sounds like a good day. But like I said, it’s gonna be a long day. I still find it kind of hard toeat enough on days like this. I tend to eat less, and as a result I get cravings. I try to eat as many as I should (around 2000 kcal of fruit, 500 of dinner) but sometimes I fail to get it all in. I’m not planning on having cravings today, so I made myself food for school. I made broccoli, a tomato salad and I have fruit. I also have rice crackers in my locker. I hope that it’s enough for me. I find it ard to eat on the go, or to plan my meals. Bit time has learned that I really need to do it. I need to take time for myself, and think about why I do it. RT4 is a lifestyle that makes my feel better, feel loved and to hopefully learn to love myself. I think today will be fine, I took care of lunch/snack and I have a lot of nice things ahead. I have drama classes today, and I’m really looking forward to it. Let’s make something of today!
