I wanted to write a blog about things that every vegan may experience sometimes. Just because. ☺
1. “So you do eat cheese right?”
2. “I could never do that!” Yes you could. Just try a little harder.
3. “I only eat organic meat!” So then it doesn’t hurt the animals, right?
4. “That sounds sooo boring!” It really isnt; I eat a lot of different veggies and it challenges me to be more creative.
5. “Then you can never eat out again?!” Is this even a question? Of course we can! We just need to call the restaurant first. (Most of the time)
These are the ones that annoy me the most. Do you have some suggestions to write another blog about, or just have some points to add, please leave a comment below.
Even vegan cakes are really good to make and very delicious to eat!
I wanted to write a bit more serious post then my last one. That’s why I’m writing about a topic that’s important for all of us: vitamins.
Let’s face it: we all want to live a healthy life. And many of us are already on the good way. They are vegan, or vegetarian, living a plant based life or cutting out sugar.
But what happens if you switch from one lifestyle to another?
Your vitamin intake changes too.
Is that a bad thing?
No, not necessarily. But I wanted to say it, because it can cause problems if you don’t act on the long term. It seems logical, but most of us don’t think about it.
We’re already eating more greens, more fruit, so why would you?
Because every food you put in your mouth, has a different nutrition value. So when you adapted a new lifestyle; be sure to check your blood every once in a while. That way you make sure you’re not getting any vitamin deficient.
As you may have read in my last post, change, I visited Rome for the first time!
Was it a succes? Yes.
Did I eat rt4? Mostly not. (Rt3)
Have I seen some of the most amazing architecture? All the time.
Do I want to go again? Yes!
Unfortunately Rome is quite expensive, so I won’t have the money to go any day soon.. But that doesn’t matter.
I fed my mind with enough beautiful art to endure for a while.
This is a picture of the beautiful St. Pieters, it was really special because we got to go on a service. In the most famous cathedral of the world.. Still can’t believe it.
This was in the middle of the city; could you imagine; waiting on the bus, looking to an old ancient Roman building. These pilars where everywhere.
And that’s me with my handsome friends. Dream on Jaz. I never had the time to talk to them. A shame, they all smiled really cute.
Now a very important part; the food.
Let me tell you one thing; I knew pasta could be good, but I never knew it was that good until I had it in Rome. I ate pasta all the time. It was vegan, filled me up, but most importantly; delicious! !
I also ate a lot of bruschetta, high in oil but a really nice lunch. (And something else then pasta all te time)
Rome was really cool. I liked the people, the heat, the food. Only the public transport was a bit of a mess.. Thank God I found an app for that.
Oh lord, where would we be without the Internet?
I still recommend Rome to everyone; it’s a nice, clean and wonderful city to visit!
