A lot of people who are trying to lose weight, see calories as their enemy. If you count them, and stay under a certain amount, you’re sure to lose weight. But are you?
As a vegan I eat a lot of fruit and less fat. I don’t eat a lot of bread and more vegetables then other people. So for me it’s important to eat a bit more calories out of fruit then you normally would. Fruit has a different nutrition value then a sandwich.
Does it mean I need to count my calories in order to lose weight, but in a healthy way? Nope.
I think that whenever you focus on the calories instead of how hungry and satisfied you are, you’re not doing it right.
Of course it’s important to eat enough. You need to eat in order to get energy, so don’t deprive yourself from food!
As a beginning vegan it might be handy to track down your calories, in order to make sure you’re eating enough. But as the time pass, you’ll learn to feed yourself well, and more important enough but not to much!
My tip is: track your calories in the beginning, but stop whenever you made your new lifestyle your own.
I’m currently in week 3, just finished my resistance training. And how do I feel? Exhausted, but satisfied. I’m getting used to Kayla’s workout ritm, and I started to enjoy her workouts. It feels good when you can feel it burning.
I found out that I hate arms&abs. Abs are ok, but arms.. Mine are like rubber after the workout. I’m not seeing results yet, but I might be a bit to keen on that. I really want to be toned and muscular!
This is me now:
How do you feel? Do yo started to like the workouts?
I just finished my first week of the BBG! I found it really hard to be honest. The cardio days were easy, but the resistence days were hard.
I’m not just to that kind of training.
But damn it felt so good! I know it’s my imagination but it feels like I already gained muscles.
That’s why I’m doing it; I want a muscular body. I want to feel proud.
I don’t follow Kayla’s HELP nutrition guide, is there someone who does?
I found it expensive, and I already eat HCLF.
Here are my update pictures from this week:
I’m gonna try to keep pn to the BBG, untill I go to Thailand. That is in less than 11 weeks..
I’m excited for tomorrow; my first HIIT workout! 😀
I told you about my BBG experiment. Well, I’m now on day 3. And let me tell you this; IT IS HEAVY.
Kayla really makes you sweat. But I believe that is a good thing, right?
You have cardio days and resistance training days, but thank God not on the same day.
They’re swopping, so you have time to recover.
I really needed that, I had amazing pain in my musles the second day..
It did feel like I really took it to the extreme, I felt I did something.
That felt so good.
The diet part is also really easy to follow.
You can have snacks, and normal rice portions, or sometimes even more.
I had to cut my banana intake, I ate a lot of bananas. And I still eat more banana’s then Kayla says you can have, but I just like them so much.
And it’s still fruit, so I don’t think it’s such a bad thing.
I have a busy work day tomorrow, so I hope I can still follow the programm..
