As some of you may know, I love to run. That’s why I started joining a running club. We run every Sunday, it doesn’t matter what kind of weather it is. We run every Sunday, even in the summer. I also run on my own, but running in a team gives me a good feeling. I always feel satisfied after our run. I love to talk to everyone and I love the little exercises we do in between. The most important thing is: you run for yourself, at your own speed, at your own pace. I love that.
It’s amazing to see how some of us are a bit older, and some young. Some of us are thin, some a bit bigger. But we can run together, because of our motto.
Everyone runs at their own speed, you run for yourself.
The group inspired me to work out more, and to come even when I feel not like it. When I’m having trouble with my disease, there’s always support and love from the group. No one is pushing me to push it to the limits, but they are motivation and prepared to help.
Working out feels like a blessing with people like that.
I can all advise you to join a club, because of the team spirit. Because you deserve to know: you don’t have to do this on your own. I hope I’ll be able to run with them for a long time.
It’s finally time for another blog post. One about my trip. My amazing trip to the beautiful Thailand!
And believe me, it was amazing. I’ve met so much inspiring and kind people. I’ve seen and lived in a culture so different from mine. And every moment was worth it. We did great things; like a trip to the jungle and a cave tour. Thailand was a dream come true. I felt like I could outbeat the world; I felt so amazingly strong. I hope that one day I’ll be able to go back. To enjoy the land that gave me so much joy. I’m short in time now; but I’ll write a blog about what I experienced (food, people) later!
I wanted to write a bit more serious post then my last one. That’s why I’m writing about a topic that’s important for all of us: vitamins.
Let’s face it: we all want to live a healthy life. And many of us are already on the good way. They are vegan, or vegetarian, living a plant based life or cutting out sugar.
But what happens if you switch from one lifestyle to another?
Your vitamin intake changes too.
Is that a bad thing?
No, not necessarily. But I wanted to say it, because it can cause problems if you don’t act on the long term. It seems logical, but most of us don’t think about it.
We’re already eating more greens, more fruit, so why would you?
Because every food you put in your mouth, has a different nutrition value. So when you adapted a new lifestyle; be sure to check your blood every once in a while. That way you make sure you’re not getting any vitamin deficient.
I’m currently in week 3, just finished my resistance training. And how do I feel? Exhausted, but satisfied. I’m getting used to Kayla’s workout ritm, and I started to enjoy her workouts. It feels good when you can feel it burning.
I found out that I hate arms&abs. Abs are ok, but arms.. Mine are like rubber after the workout. I’m not seeing results yet, but I might be a bit to keen on that. I really want to be toned and muscular!
This is me now:
How do you feel? Do yo started to like the workouts?
I told you about my BBG experiment. Well, I’m now on day 3. And let me tell you this; IT IS HEAVY.
Kayla really makes you sweat. But I believe that is a good thing, right?
You have cardio days and resistance training days, but thank God not on the same day.
They’re swopping, so you have time to recover.
I really needed that, I had amazing pain in my musles the second day..
It did feel like I really took it to the extreme, I felt I did something.
That felt so good.
The diet part is also really easy to follow.
You can have snacks, and normal rice portions, or sometimes even more.
I had to cut my banana intake, I ate a lot of bananas. And I still eat more banana’s then Kayla says you can have, but I just like them so much.
And it’s still fruit, so I don’t think it’s such a bad thing.
I have a busy work day tomorrow, so I hope I can still follow the programm..
I drink my lemonwater every day, but what about you?! Lemon water has some amazing health benefits and it tastes amazing to!
But why should you drink it everyday?
1. Because the lemon in the water can help your digestion to get moving. If you have problems to digest, the lemonwater may do the trick. The minerals and vitamins can help your upset stomach. That’s why people also call it “detoxwater”.
2. Because it is way better then drinking soda. It helped me to stop my dietcoke addiction. Lemon water is way tastier.
3. It can help you lose weight. The pectine fibres in the lemon give you a full feeling. And the water helps too, you might think you’re hungry, but you’re possibly only dehydrated. So drink your lemonwater before you grab a snack!
4. The vitamine C in the lemons can help your immune system. The ascorbic acid in the lemons helps your body to fight inflammations. It also helps your body to balance out your iron levels. And that all simply by drinking lemonwater..
5. Lemon helps you to get a nice smelling breath. It combats the bacteria growing in your mouth. So if you drink it in the morning, you’ll have a fresh breath.
You get all of the above simply by drinking the lemonwater!
Why even doubt it? I make a big glass before I go to bed, and it’s the first thing I do in the morning. That way it’s easy to drink enough water troughout the day, and you won’t forget to drink it.
today felt like a busy day, although it really wasn’t. I only worked from 10.30-18.00 and didn’t went out or something. I still felt tired. I Started my day with a morning run, not to long bcause of the heat. It was nice. I had a green smoothie afterwarts, and prepared my lunch. Chicken peas again. Some people say they are high in fat, but I like them so much and I feel so satisfied after eating them.. SHould I stop eating them? I eat them around two times a week. Furthermore, I started watching Orange is the new black again, and bought the “80/10/10” book, by Dr. Graham. I’ve heard so much about it, I figured out I should own it then.
Good things: my lovely dinner, morningworkout, new book, delicious Rituals soap/foam for in the shower (It smells SO good)
Bad things: felt so tired, work was boring (no-one is buying books now, it’s summervacation)
RT4 day 10
Breakfast: 4 banana’s
Lunch: more smoothie and fruit later
Snack: chicken peas salad
Dinner: turkish bread with hummus and mushroom soup
Snack: 3 ricecrackers with jelly
